"ALONG THE TICINO: SANDRO ZENDRALLI, FROM BELLINZONA TO PAVIA"
EXHIBITION
Kicking off the autumn season of cultural events at COLLEGIO CAIROLI, for decades historical site of avantgarde manifestations, is the first exhibition in Italy of the Swiss painter and architect SANDRO ZENDRALLI, the latest exponent of the fertile painterly modern and postmodern tradition of the Canton Ticino region of Switzerland.
FILM PREMIERE
The evening will begin at 6 o'clock in the Aula Magna, with the premiere of the latest interpretive documentary film of FRIEDERIKE SCHAEFER, filmmaker, entitled:
"Sandro Zendralli: At Home in the World."
The vernissage and cocktail will take place in the Sala delle Mostre of the Collegio Cairoli.
BOOK PRESENTATION
The 200 page monograph on the artist's work by the New York art historian ALAN JONES, recently published by Electa Editore,
"Sandro Zendralli: The Creative Impulse"
will be presented on the occasion by GRAZIANO LEONARDELLI of the Collegio Cairoli, ALESSANDRO BONFANTI, Electa Editore, and the author ALAN JONES, who has written:
"Sandro's work possesses a sincerity, an inevitability, all its own, a geistliche Herausforderung, a challenge to our perceptions. Or I could use a simpler term: Zendrallity."
